Announcement from the Nomination Committee (Shura)

Due to the arrival of a very important agenda, namely the recruitment of leaders of the association as "President of the Thai Muslim Business Trade Association" (TMTA), the Nomination Committee has had continual meetings to perform its duties with strict caution in all actions taken on behalf of Shura.

From the public relations efforts for association members to nominate an appropriate person to be selected as president, a reasonable number of names were proposed. On Wednesday, July 20, 2022, at 21:00, the Nomination Committee held a meeting to:

• Screen the list of qualified candidates according to the rules.
• Determine and review recruitment guidelines for the meeting scheduled on Sunday, July 24, 2022.

On the meeting date, members may nominate persons orally, provided:

• The person being nominated has given their consent.
• The nomination is accredited by no less than 10 members of the association during the nomination period.

Additional Notes

Term of Office: The term of the President of the Thai Muslim Business Trade Association is 4 years.

Individuals whose names are nominated will be contacted by the Shura committee to confirm their willingness to be recruited. The committee has established the following rules for nominees:

• 3.1 Not being a Shura committee member.
• 3.2 Not having held the position of President of the Association for two consecutive terms.
• 3.3 Must voluntarily confirm their willingness to be nominated.
